Hello!!

Have you ever felt that invisible weight on your shoulder that you just can not get rid of?  As if you are stuck in the limbo between life and death. As if you want to run away far, and give up on life, but we all die anyway, so you comfort yourself by saying, "Let's see where it ends." So I wanted to jot down my thoughts anyway.

Hello, This is Aranya. It's not my real name. It's a name I gave myself when I was 12. It's a name I thought I would give to my first child at the age of 16, and it's a name of the one who sleeps inside me, protects me, fights for me, consoles me, and inspires me. Aranya in Bengali is an unisex name that means "Forest". You can ask now why the forest? Why this name? because the Forest is vast– the oldest life on the ground, true as death, loving as mother, connected into one ecosystem of thousands of species. Fascinating, isn't it? Like a forest, I hope my words also grow inside you,

This is a blog I am writing to gather my thoughts, write them down, and share them with the world. Sometimes they are dark, deep, and sometimes I am just thinking of the ice cream flavor I want to buy tomorrow.  Whatever it is, if you are reading, we are meant to be connected. Maybe my words will be lost in the vastness of the internet, but no matter how many days I drag myself to keep living, maybe someone will read what I thought and how I was! And in that time, I will be alive again.

WElCOME TO ARANYA AND HER WORLD
